MS Excel has been an invaluable tool for analysing a mass of data to enable effective management.
Use VLOOKUP or MATCH to compare / combine data from multiple sources
Use INDIRECT to consolidate multiple sheets onto one
Use Conditional Formatting to generate icons to help visually assess multiple rows
Use Pivot tables to consolidate and tabulate data
Use Conditional Formatting within pivot tables to highlight exceptional statistics for further investigation
Use Pivot Charts for ongoing metrics and analysis
